Juicing involves grinding, squeezing, or pressing fresh fruit and/or vegetables for their juice. It’s a modern term for a long-standing practice of pressing harvested fruits for quick access to their nutrients.
I discovered juicing in Asia, where this is abundantly served, and where you find juice shops in many streets.
As I was eating far little vegetables and fruits, I decided to compensate via juices. I bought a Matstone slowjuicer in 2014. The Matstone is a horizontal slowjuicer, extracting juices at 78rpm.
The advantage of a slowjuicer is that it conserves the majority of the vitamins, unlike the juice centrifuge where a lot of vitamins are lost due to oxidation caused by the high speed and friction in the process.
